Welcome to Team Alliance Soccer Club (TASC) tryout page. 

TASC will be holding tryouts for 2009-2010 teams in mid-May. Information on the exact dates/times for tryouts will be forthcoming soon. 

There is no fee to tryout for a TASC team. TASC has multiple Challenge and Classic teams for boys and girls playing on fields located in the western Winston-Salem / Forsyth County area. The primary goal of TASC is to promote the physical, emotional, mental, moral and social well-being of its members while fostering their love of the game of soccer.  Serving participants from Forsyth and its neighboring counties, TASC will respect the priorities of home, church and school over soccer. 

For a player to be selected to a TASC team, the player must first attend annual tryouts.  Tryouts for the 2009-2010 season will be held at Meadowlark Elementary school in mid-May (dates and times to be announced).  These tryouts are open to all and are conducted under the supervision of the appropriate select team coach. 

It is the intention of TASC to hold tryouts in each age group (U10 – U18) for both male and female players and to form at least one team in each single year/gender age group.  Players may be allowed to “play up” an age group if considered appropriate after discussions between the age group coaches and club president. 

Tryouts consist of short-sided games and other exercises deemed appropriate by the coach in order to evaluate the players, depending upon the number of players attending tryouts.  TASC will make every effort to post tryout results on our web site within 24 hours after the last tryout date for each age group. 

TASC is always looking for volunteers to serve as coaches or assistant coaches.  If you are currently a recreation soccer coach or player and have any questions or concerns about the step to “competitive soccer” don’t hesitate to contact Bill Grizack, Tryout Committee Chair, at tasctryouts@gmail.com. 

Below is a link to an age group chart for the 2009-2010 soccer year.  Each age group encompasses a single year except for the U10 group that includes a two-year eligibility period, being open to both 8 and 9 year olds.  Registration for tryouts can be done either on-line or by printable forms that are found below.
